Off Site Recovery

We offer a full service off site Silver Recovery process. Once the films are delivered to our site the envelopes, requisitions and paper products are separated and securely destroyed according to Privacy Act Protocols. The silver is extracted from the film and the polyester base is then chopped and recycled to be used in the manufacture of alternate products. The silver which is recovered is placed back into use on the open market. All of the recycled materials are used in separate manufacturing processes and none are sent to a landfill.

Electromedical will supply containers on loan to assist with product collection.

Onsite Recovery

Our silver recovery units are state of the art electrolytic and iron mesh units. Electromedical will install the appropriate sized system based on the volume of fixer. A service contract will ensure that the silver recovery units are changed on a regular basis.

We specialize in X-ray film recycling and medical records destruction.
